One little mishap can ruin the entire project. Don't feel bad, we did all interior painting and THEN decided we wanted new countertops and backsplash for the kitchen and recess lighting. Then our roof leaked and ruined some of the paint so we had holes in a ceiling for a bit and the painters had to come back a gazillion times.
